McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Manager to oversee the Transportation department at a McLane distribution center in the United States.

This role focuses on 24-hour coverage, supervision of transportation managers, and ensuring optimal logistics support for warehouse operations. The position emphasizes driving KPIs for cost savings, staffing, training, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
• 5+ years with outbound transportation; knowledge of routing and backhaul procedures.
• 4+ years accounting, planning, analytical, and/or reporting experience.
• Experience managing large numbers of driving staff; hiring, training, and motivating teammates.
• Experience using Trimble/PeopleNet or similar TMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with providing 24-hour coverage.
• Provide general supervision of transportation operations managers and processes.
• Maintain a staffed and trained department delivering high logistics support to the warehouse.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate all delivery and backhaul activities.
• Drive KPIs for cost savings.
• Schedule and train to maximize customer service at the store level.
• This position may include special projects.
