McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Manager Designate to lead the Transportation department at a distribution center and to relocate within McLane as needed. The role focuses on maintaining smooth operations, staffing, and cost-effective delivery and backhaul management.

The position offers Day 1 benefits, competitive salary ($95,000–$110,000/year) plus an annual incentive target of 15% of base salary, and opportunities for career growth across the nationwide McLane network.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience with outbound transportation and routing/backhaul procedures.
• Experience managing large numbers of driving staff and coordinating schedules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour coverage for transportation operations.
• Supervise transportation operations managers and related processes.
• Direct and coordinate delivery and backhaul activities to optimize costs.
• Drive KPIs for cost savings and service levels.
• Ensure proper staffing and training for peak performance.
