Job summary

McLane is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee a team of drivers and ensure safe, timely deliveries across routes. You’ll monitor logs, hours, and regulatory compliance while coordinating with other departments for accurate dispatches.

The role requires at least 1 year in transportation management within food distribution, knowledge of DOT rules, and proficiency in Microsoft Office; flexibility with schedule is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of transportation management experience in food distribution.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
• AS/400 experience is preferred; truck routing software experience preferred.
• Ability to read/write English at work level; proficient with MS Office.
• Ability to work a varied and flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision for a group of assigned Drivers.
• Achieve safe, timely, and accurate deliveries with routing and dispatch procedures.
• Review logs, hours of service, and DOT requirements for compliance.
• Coordinate with other distribution center departments to ensure timely deliveries.
• Handle additional duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
