Job summary

SoTalent is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee day-to-day transportation operations, driver scheduling, routing, fleet performance, safety, and regulatory compliance. The role involves supervising transportation associates, coordinating delivery schedules, monitoring KPIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient transport operations.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years in transportation/supply chain, 1+ year of supervisory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of transportation and/or supply chain operations experience.
• 1+ year of supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Knowledge of FMCSA/CSA compliance and DOT requirements.
• Experience with transportation onboarding software such as CAMS or JDA.
• Proficiency with Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily transportation activities including dispatching, routing, equipment maintenance, and security.
• Assign and update driver schedules and coordinate delivery changes based on availability and shipment volume.
• Optimize routes for deliveries and backhauls to maximize efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Collaborate with transportation, logistics, warehouse, and account teams to resolve issues.
• Monitor driver hours, breaks, idle time, and total working hours.
