Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to supervise CDL drivers and coordinate daily transportation activities. You will plan routes, ensure fleet maintenance, and uphold federal/state/local hazmat regulations while supporting cost controls and cross‑functional communication with operations and facilities.

The role requires 2–3 years of related experience and thorough knowledge of transportation regulatory matters.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in the related area.
• Knowledge of EPA regulations, transportation equipment and associated vehicle maintenance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision of CDL Drivers and employees.
• Plan schedules and routes to ensure maximum efficiencies.
• Ensure vehicle fleet is properly maintained.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local laws for hazardous materials and shipments.
• Monitor costs to keep them at or below budget.
• Communicate clearly with internal operations and facilities.
• Interview, hire and train employees; plan, assign and direct work; evaluate performance.
