Job summary

Amazon is seeking Transportation Area Managers to support operations in Colorado Springs and across the country. You will help drive safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity while collaborating with site leadership on metrics and process improvements.

The role requires 2+ years of people management, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent (or 2+ years of Amazon experience), and experience with Lean techniques.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Experience managing a team of 20+ employees.
• Experience with Lean techniques (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma).
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or related field.
• Industry experience in retail, military, manufacturing, distribution environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with site leadership on quality and Customer Experience metrics.
• Streamline logistics in the operation through standard work and team leadership.
• Support and commit to safety programs and OSHA compliance.
• Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives using Lean tools.
