Job summary

C&S Chemicals in Roswell, GA is seeking a Transportation Operations Manager to lead day-to-day dispatch, routing, and driver management for a dedicated multi-state fleet. You will develop SOPs, monitor KPIs, and partner with HR to recruit drivers while coordinating with outside carriers as needed.

The role requires strong communication and a hands-on approach to continuous improvement. The position is based in Roswell, GA, with Monday–Friday in-office work and after-hours availability as drivers

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in transportation operations, driver management, or carrier management.
• Hands-on routing or load-planning experience.
• Experience managing, coaching, or supporting drivers day to day.
• Working knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations, including hours-of-service rules.
• Comfort with dispatch/TMS software, ELD platforms, and standard office tools.
• Strong communication skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage daily dispatch schedules for a dedicated group of drivers across multi-state lanes.
• Plan efficient routes considering loading windows, delivery appointments, transit times, and DOT hours-of-service.
• Adjust dispatch plans in real time due to breakdowns, delays, weather, or reschedules.
• Serve as the day-to-day manager and point of contact for the driver group.
• Coordinate onboarding and training for new drivers; oversee ongoing training.
• Provide driver performance coaching; conduct evaluations and incentive reviews.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
