Job summary

C&S Chemicals is seeking a Transportation Operations Manager in Roswell, GA to oversee the day-to-day dispatch, routing, and driver management for a dedicated fleet across multi-state lanes. Lead performance against KPIs and contribute to SOPs while ensuring safe, compliant operations.

You will own daily dispatch execution, coordinate with external carriers when capacity is tight, and drive improvements to dispatch tools and planning processes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in transportation operations, driver management, or carrier management.
• Hands-on routing or load-planning experience.
• Experience coaching or supporting drivers day to day.
• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and HOS rules.
• Familiarity with dispatch/TMS software and standard office tools.
• Strong communication skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch & routing: build and manage daily schedules for a dedicated group of drivers across multi-state lanes.
• Driver leadership: serve as the direct manager and day-to-day point of contact for your driver group; recruit and hire, onboard and train.
• Safety & compliance: ensure adherence to DOT/FMCSA/OSHA rules and maintain logs and certifications.
• Outside carrier coordination: tender loads to third-party carriers and monitor performance.
• Operations & communication: act as the hub between drivers, dispatch, customers, and loading facilities; align with CSRs and account managers.
• Administrative & reporting: review timecards, payroll, rosters, and provide KPIs to senior management.
• Beyond the day-to-day: help develop SOPs, improve dispatch tools, and drive proactive planning.
