Job summary

NRS, a leading logistics provider, is seeking a Dispatch Manager to oversee daily transportation operations, optimize fleet use, and ensure superior customer service. You will liaise with customers, drivers, and internal teams, driving performance and efficiency across accounts.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in dispatch/ops management, strong FMCSA/DOT knowledge, and proficiency with AS-400 and MS Office to support payroll, reporting, and KPI reviews.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of dispatch/operations management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of FMCSA & DOT guidelines.
• Advanced knowledge of AS-400.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily transportation operations and ensure service quality.
• Serve as liaison between customers, drivers, dispatchers and internal teams.
• Provide proactive updates on pickups, deliveries and project status.
• Participate in customer calls regarding performance and planning.
• Coach drivers on performance and safety.
• Manage payroll tasks using UKG and related processes.
• Coordinate recruiting and safety departments for driver hiring.
• Review and implement changes to improve operations.
• Utilize tools such as SkyBitz, Platform Science, LYTX Drivecam and AS400 reporting.
