Job summary

C&S Chemicals, Inc. in Roswell, GA seeks a Transportation Operations Manager to lead a dedicated driver group across multi-state lanes and own daily dispatch execution.

You will plan efficient routes, adjust in real time, and coordinate with outside carriers as needed. You will coach drivers, manage onboarding and training, monitor KPI performance, and help develop SOPs to improve operational efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in transportation operations, driver management, or carrier management.
• Hands-on routing or load-planning experience.
• Experience coaching or supporting drivers daily.
• Working knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations, including hours-of-service.
• Comfort with dispatch/TMS software and ELD platforms.
• Strong communication skills for drivers, customers, and carriers.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage daily dispatch schedules for a dedicated driver group across multi-state lanes.
• Plan efficient routes accounting for loading windows, delivery appointments, transit times, and HOS limits.
• Adjust plans in real time for changes: breakdowns, delays, weather, reschedules.
• Coordinate onboarding and training for new drivers; conduct performance evaluations.
• Lead safety compliance with DOT/FMCSA, OSHA, and company policies.
• Tender loads to outside carriers when internal capacity is committed; track performance.
