Job summary

usfoods is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee outbound shipments and the daily operations of drivers and clerical staff. You will ensure safety, regulatory compliance and profitable performance across routes and shifts.

The role requires proven leadership, 4+ years in transportation, and ability to train teams on DOT rules, GPS tools and MSDS information. CDL is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Commercial Drivers License (CDL) preferred.
• Minimum 4 years transportation/delivery experience.
• 1 year of experience managing an hourly workforce.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises drivers and clerical staff in transportation.
• Ensures training on safety, job duties and legal responsibilities.
• Analyzes delivery problems and implements cost‑effective solutions.
• Schedules drivers for routes based on division methodology.
• Conducts safety and driver meetings.
• Maintains driver qualification files.
• Investigates accidents and records causes and preventive actions.
