Job summary

The SYGMA Network in Monroe, MI is seeking an operations clerk to support the transportation department. You will handle clerical duties and ensure DOT compliance in daily operations.

Responsibilities include organizing driver logs, answering phones, processing inbound freight paperwork, and generating routine reports for supervisors. The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and basic MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
• 2 years’ distribution/transportation experience in a high volume operation preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a driving record meeting insurability standards.

Responsibilities

• Gather, organize and process driver daily paperwork, logs, manifest, vehicle inspection, etc.
• Answer phones, route calls and take messages.
• Research operation challenges, order supplies, liaison between office and operations
• Respond to delivery associate issues and provide support for a resolution.
• Process inbound freight paperwork weekly.
• Primary contact for any inbound freight issues.
• Run daily reports for operations supervisors (i.e. observations, vehicle tracking, etc.)
• Perform all other tasks as assigned by supervision or management.
