Job summary

The SYGMA Network in Monroe, MI is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to assist the transportation manager in overseeing delivery and backhauls, training staff, and ensuring compliance with government regulations and safety standards.

You will supervise daily activities, enforce SOPs, coordinate with warehouse and customer service, and help implement efficiency improvements while controlling costs. Strong leadership and CDL knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of transportation experience or training.
• Class A CDL required.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently.
• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the daily work and safety of transportation associates.
• Ensures compliance with federal/state regulations (DOT/OSHA).
• Oversees labor hours and supplies within budget.
• Prepares work schedules and shifts.
• Assists with training of new associates.
• Coordinates repairs and asset utilization for delivery.
• Reviews productivity and implements efficiency improvements.
• Enforces policies and procedures, including food safety and record keeping.
• Communicates with warehouse and customer service teams to resolve issues.
• Visits customers to address delivery challenges.
• Maintains associate relations and morale.
• Works with safety manager on training and investigations.
