Qualifications

• 1 year as Engineering Technician or equivalent.
• 2 years as Transportation Technician or Construction Cost Technician.
• 3 years highway/bridge surveying, design, construction or inspection.
• 3 years quality control of materials or related field.
• 1 year construction inspection with an associate's degree in civil or related engineering tech.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Material Testing: Observe and review testing procedures at plants to confirm compliance with standards.
• Quality Verification: Check shipments, weigh slips, and plant docs to meet specs.
• Sampling Documentation: Record sampling and testing information accurately.
• Standards Compliance: Review testing methods (extraction, gradation, air content, slump, unit weights).
• Data Entry: Enter inspection data into electronic systems such as eCAMMS.
• Field Support: Assist with material reviews, core drilling, and onsite inspections.

Associate's degree in civil engineering

Engineering Technician experience
