Job summary

US Foods in the United States is seeking a Manager, Transportation to lead a safety-first Transportation department, ensuring safe, accurate and timely outbound shipments to customers and distribution centers. You will develop drivers and Transportation associates, coach performance, manage payroll and compliance with DOT requirements, and drive cost-efficient operations across the network.

Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution.
• Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
• Experience as a driver is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety-first culture in Transportation department.
• Coach drivers and Transportation associates; train on policy and procedures.
• Oversee performance and create development plans with senior management.
• Drive safety, service targets and cost-efficient operations.
• Ensure DOT compliance and timely, accurate shipments.
