J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Manager II in Wisconsin to oversee midsize driver teams, ensure safe and timely freight movement, and manage load planning and customer service with DOT compliance.

The role requires flexibility to cover day, night, and weekend shifts, with responsibilities spanning staffing, training, route optimization, and administrative duties to support profitable operations.

Qualifications

• MinimumQualifications: High School Diploma/GED plus 2-3 years in transportation/logistics or equivalent military experience, ability to work across multiple shifts including nights/weekends.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and travel to account/customer locations.
• Fosters safe, compliant operations and DOT regulation adherence.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with drivers and safety to minimize turnover and maximize productivity.
• Fill in for absent personnel and work on projects to optimize fleet operations and profitability.
• Coordinate driver training/orientation and system usage with internal/third-party teams.
• Analyze fleet operations, KPIs, and provide customer reporting and financial analysis.
• Manage assets, driver assignments, and yard operations for balanced equipment.
• Perform payroll, counseling, accident reviews, invoicing, and reporting duties.
• Coordinate with maintenance for preventative services and safety issues.
• Resolve service issues with drivers/customers and adjust routes as needed.
• Maintain safety culture with driver safety messages and training.
