Job summary

McLane is seeking a Transportation Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of technicians in our Brookhaven operations. You will manage budgets, schedule preventive maintenance, and coordinate repairs for tractors, trailers, and refrigeration systems.

You will train staff, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and optimize parts inventories while leveraging Fleet Assistant to maximize asset uptime.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree or equivalent training in heavy maintenance is required.
• Demonstrated leadership and accountability in supervision roles.
• Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop budgets for repair, maintenance, and parts inventory.
• Negotiate maintenance contracts and third-party support.
• Coordinate daily activities of technicians and ensure safety.
• Train and develop the team on HVAC, refrigeration, and heavy equipment.
• Maintain staffing, training, and certifications; monitor expenses.
• Utilize Fleet Assistant to optimize asset utilization and PM schedules.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and manage purchasing actions.
• Build vendor relationships for quality and cost control.
• Work nights/weekends as required for supervision.
