Job summary

McLane Company, Inc seeks a Transportation Maintenance Supervisor in Brookhaven, MS to coordinate repairs, maintenance, and Capital Expense projects while maintaining high efficiency. The role includes mentoring technicians, managing data in maintenance software, and ensuring safety and compliance across the shop.

The position requires 5+ years of maintenance supervision, a 4-year degree or equivalent, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work flexible hours including

Qualifications

• Have a 4-year degree or equivalent professional training and experience in heavy maintenance discipline.
• Have 5 or more years of maintenance supervision experience in an automotive or heavy-duty shop.
• Possess outstanding leadership qualities, including assertiveness, organization, enthusiasm, decisiveness, planning, confidence and accountability.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop budgets for repair, maintenance, supplies, third party support and spare parts inventory.
• Negotiate maintenance contracts and other third-party support for the Transportation.
• Identify, prioritize and coordinate the daily activities of Technicians, inspire the department to achieve desired results in productivity, teamwork, safety and task proficiency.
• Maintain proper staffing, required training and certifications.
• Utilize Fleet Assistant to optimize asset utilization through scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Work nights and weekends if required for supervision or work-related problems.
