Job summary

McLane is seeking a Transportation Maintenance Supervisor to lead repair and maintenance of our trucking assets, manage budgets, and coach technicians across our fleet. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and reliable operations within a dynamic logistics environment.

You will develop schedules, review contracts, and ensure regulatory compliance while fostering vendor relationships and hands-on problem solving to support our nationwide distribution network.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree or equivalent professional training and experience in heavy maintenance discipline.
• 5+ years of maintenance supervision experience in automotive or heavy-duty shop.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical abilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and manage teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop budgets for repair, maintenance, supplies, and parts inventory.
• Negotiate maintenance contracts and third-party support for Transportation.
• Coordinate daily activities of Technicians and ensure productivity, safety, and teamwork.
• Oversee training and development of the team on refrigeration, heavy-duty tractors, and trailer repair.
• Maintain an adequate spare parts inventory and monitor purchasing and expenses.
• Utilize Fleet Assistant to optimize asset utilization and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and read/write English instructions.
