Job summary

McLane is seeking a Transportation Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate repairs, maintenance, and Capital Expense projects, while ensuring equipment and building efficiency. You will mentor technicians, manage data in the Fleet Assistant system, and maintain inventory and safety standards.

The role requires a 4-year degree or equivalent, 5+ years of supervision in heavy maintenance, and strong leadership. The position includes a competitive salary, day-one benefits, and opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year degree or equivalent professional training and experience in heavy maintenance discipline.
• 5+ years of maintenance supervision experience in automotive or heavy-duty shop.
• Strong leadership, communication, and accountability abilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and read/understand English.
• Proficient with Windows, MS Office and maintenance-related computer systems.
• Experience with diesel repairs, heavy-duty tractor-trailer repairs, and refrigeration maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Develop budgets for repair, maintenance, supplies, and parts inventory.
• Negotiate maintenance contracts and third-party support.
• Coordinate daily activities of Technicians and ensure productivity, safety, and task proficiency.
• Provide hands-on repairs as needed and train team on technical aspects of maintenance.
• Maintain staffing, training, and certifications; monitor expenses by function and equipment.
