Job summary

Wilson Elser is seeking a proactive and highly skilled Transportation Litigation Attorney to work on our firm's representation of a large international logistics services provider. Responsibilities include managing litigation from start to finish, researching transportation laws, drafting pleadings and briefs, attending hearings and depositions, negotiating

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA accredited law school required.
• Must be admitted to practice in New Jersey.
• 5–10 years of general casualty litigation experience preferred.
• Experience in transportation and logistics, trucking, or related regulatory areas is preferred.
• Deposition and motion practice experience is required; trial experience is a plus.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; superior analytical abilities.
• Sophisticated technical skills relevant to modern litigation practice.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage a litigation caseload from start to finish under supervision of senior attorneys.
• Conduct legal research related to transportation laws, regulations, and standards.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Negotiate settlements and client-advocate on matters.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments and offices to support team goals.
• Prepare case analysis reports and provide proactive resolution strategies.
