The successful candidate will handle litigation for a large international logistics client, focusing on transportation regulations and emerging issues. You will work with a national team to develop proactive resolution strategies and deliver sound counsel.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in the state of Texas.
• 3+ years of general casualty litigation experience.
• Transportation and logistics, trucking, and related regulatory experience preferred.
• Deposition and motion practice experience required.
• Trial experience preferred.
• Superior analytical skills; strong written and oral communication skills.
• Sophisticated technical skills necessary.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage a litigation caseload under supervision from senior attorneys.
• Conduct legal research related to transportation laws and regulations.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients; demonstrate advocacy and negotiation skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments and offices.
• Draft case analysis reports for client stakeholders.
