Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Manager, Transportation to lead a safety-first culture and drive cost-efficient outbound shipments across our distribution network. You will coach drivers, supervise transportation staff, and partner with leaders to meet service goals while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations.

The role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication, and the ability to analyze operational data. Travel is involved to support field operations and meetings.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution.
Minimum of one year overseeing a workforce.
Experience as a driver is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead with a safety mindset to protect associates, customers and the public.
Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation staff through coaching and training.
Discuss performance with leadership and create improvement plans.
Direct and supervise drivers and clerical staff to meet goals.
Ensure accurate, on-time outbound shipments and DOT compliance.
Identify waste and drive process improvements.
Schedule shifts using planning tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
Support cross-functional collaboration with other departments.
