US Foods is seeking a Sr. Manager, Transportation to lead a safety‑minded, cost‑efficient outbound operation across the transportation organization. You will coach managers and drivers, drive performance and regulatory compliance, and partner with VP Operations to deliver reliable, on‑time shipments.

The role emphasizes people development, cross‑functional collaboration, and a safety‑first mindset to ensure a secure and profitable transportation network for customers and distribution centers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in transportation/delivery supervision required.
• Broad knowledge of transportation/delivery operations, methods and procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication and people development skills.
• Ability to openly and effectively communicate with all associates/departments within the company.
• Strong understanding of DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
• Ability to interpret financial and operational data.

Responsibilities

• Achieve all safety, service, and cost targets in the Transportation department and promote a safety-first culture.
• Oversee and develop Transportation Managers through coaching and policy training.
• Oversee and develop drivers, monitor performance, and support retention and engagement.
• Build high-performing teams by staffing, interviewing, and coaching to meet targets.
• Monitor production goals, troubleshoot delivery issues, and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Ensure optimum delivery reliability and identify cost reduction opportunities aligned with business objectives.
