Job summary

US Foods in Omaha, NE is seeking a Manager, Transportation to lead the Transportation department with a safety-first culture, focus on service and cost, and to ensure safe, accurate, and timely outbound shipments to customers and other distribution centers.

You will coach drivers, supervise operations, develop teams, monitor performance, ensure DOT compliance, and drive process improvements while maintaining engagement, safety, and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in transportation, delivery or warehouse distribution.
• Minimum of one year of experience supervising a workforce.
• Experience as a driver is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a safety mindset to maintain a safety-first culture in the Transportation department.
• Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation associates through coaching and policy training.
• Discuss performance with senior managers and create plans to address gaps.
• Direct and supervise the work of drivers and clerical associates to meet goals.
• Monitor production goals and ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction; ensure DOT compliance.
