Job summary

US Foods in Wixom, MI is seeking a Manager, Transportation who will lead the Transportation department with a safety‑first mindset, coaching CDL‑A drivers and supervising dispatch operations to ensure safe, accurate and on‑time outbound shipments.

This role requires 3+ years in transportation or warehouse leadership, DOT knowledge, budgeting and people development skills. Travel about 10%. Salary ranges from $60,000 to $100,000 annually, with eligibility for incentives.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in transportation or distribution.
• Experience leading a workforce in a transportation or warehouse setting.
• Knowledge of DOT requirements and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a safety mindset to maintain injury-free operations.
• Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation associates through coaching and policy training.
• Direct and supervise the work of drivers and clerical associates within Transportation.
• Build high-performing teams through interviewing and hiring Transportation personnel.
• Monitor production goals and analyze/resolve delivery issues to ensure on-time performance.
• Schedule shifts and manage resource planning to meet department goals.
• Investigate accidents and maintain corrective action plans.
