Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a senior transportation leader to oversee a team optimizing inbound and outbound logistics for Cardinal Health Distribution Centers and 3PL partnerships. You will model costs, design routing and carrier strategies, and translate complex analytics into actionable insights for executives.

This role requires extensive experience in transportation analytics, network design, and stakeholder management, with a 10% travel expectation and a salary range reflecting US market

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, industrial engineering, or related field preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in transportation analytics, network design, or data modeling preferred.
• Strong knowledge of domestic transportation modes, regulations, and warehousing operations.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Advanced quantitative and analytical skills including regression modeling and optimization techniques.
• Excellent business writing and communication skills for presenting data to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Travel expectations: 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of transportation executives overseeing day-to-day operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve logistics capabilities and service optimization for 3PL customers.
• Optimize routing, location, and carrier strategies across the transportation team.
• Design and maintain customer solutions delivering mutual value.
• Conduct cost-to-serve and fleet equipment analysis for strategic decisions.
• Support Account Management on regular business calls to review strategies and performance.
• Lead transportation cost modeling and support customer contract negotiations.
• Develop and operationalize new logistics capabilities via standardized processes.
• Build relationships across the enterprise to inform decisions and gather feedback.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Supply Chain Planning, Sales, Systems, and carriers to ensure alignment.
• Translate analytics and network modeling outputs into clear insights for stakeholders.
