Job summary

Garver's Highway Transportation Team in Round Rock, TX is seeking a civil engineering student for a Roadway Design Intern role. This in-office internship offers exposure to highway, intersection, maintenance of traffic, and drainage design while training with an experienced team.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an ABET-accredited civil engineering degree, with interest in transportation engineering, and strong communication skills.

Our experienced Highway Transportation Team in Round Rock, TX is seeking a civil engineering student to join our team to train and mentor as a Roadway Design Intern.

Internship Description

• Actively participate in plan preparation and design by working alongside our dynamic team and being exposed to many aspects of transportation engineering including highway, intersection, maintenance of traffic, and drainage designs.
• Become familiar with relevant DOT standards for highway design and plan preparation.
• Learn and utilize industry-related design software such as MicroStation, Inroads/OpenRoads, and CulvertMaster/FlowMaster.
• The successful candidate will be a strong team player with a commitment to becoming a key member of this highly productive design team.

Work Environment

This is an in-office position; duties and responsibilities are generally performed in an office setting.
