Job summary

Garver's Tulsa Highway Transportation Team is seeking a civil engineering student to join as a Roadway Design Intern in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The internship offers hands-on exposure to plan preparation and design across highway projects, intersections, maintenance of traffic, and drainage design.

You will learn DOT standards, collaborate with a dynamic team, and gain proficiency in MicroStation, InRoads/OpenRoads, CulvertMaster and FlowMaster.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.
• Strong interest in pursuing transportation engineering.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable and responsible individual.
• Previous internship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Transportation Intern -Roadway

Our experienced Tulsa, OK Highway Transportation Team is seeking a civil engineering student to join our team to train and mentor as a Roadway Design Intern.

Internship Description:

• Actively participate in plan preparation and design by working alongside our dynamic team and being exposed to many aspects of transportation engineering including highway, intersection, maintenance of traffic, and drainage designs.
• Become familiar with relevant DOT standards for highway design and plan preparation.
• Learn and utilize industry-related design software such as MicroStation, Inroads/OpenRoads, and CulvertMaster/FlowMaster.
• The successful candidate will be a strong team player with a commitment to becoming a key member of this highly productive design team.

Work Environment

This is an in-office position; duties and responsibilities are generally performed in an office setting.
