Job summary

Garver invites a civil engineering student to join our Tulsa, Oklahoma team as a Roadway Design Intern, gaining hands-on experience in plan preparation and highway design while learning DOT standards.

You will work with MicroStation, InRoads/OpenRoads, and CulvertMaster/FlowMaster, contributing to a collaborative environment and building professional skills through Garver's Launch program.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in transportation engineering.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Internship Description

• Actively participate in plan preparation and design by working alongside our dynamic team and being exposed to many aspects of transportation engineering including highway, intersection, maintenance of traffic, and drainage designs.
• Become familiar with relevant DOT standards for highway design and plan preparation.

Work Environment

This is an in-office position; duties and responsibilities are generally performed in an office setting. Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work and work-related tasks or to attend meetings may be required.
