Garver's Highway Transportation Team in Rogers, AR offers a Summer Transportation Intern - Roadway to collaborate on plan preparation, highway design, and drainage concepts under mentoring engineers.

You'll gain hands-on experience with MicroStation, InRoads/OpenRoads, and CulvertMaster/FlowMaster, while developing professional skills in a supportive in-office setting and learning through Garver Launch Program.

Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in transportation engineering.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reliable and responsible individual.
  • Previous internship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in plan preparation and design with the team across transportation engineering aspects.
  • Become familiar with DOT standards for highway design and plan preparation.
  • Learn and utilize design software such as MicroStation, InRoads/OpenRoads, and CulvertMaster/FlowMaster.
  • Be a strong team player and contribute to Garver's design team.

Our experienced Highway Transportation Team in Rogers, AR is seeking a civil engineering student to join our team to train and mentor as a Roadway Design Intern.

Internship Description
  • Actively participate in plan preparation and design by working alongside our dynamic team and being exposed to many aspects of transportation engineering including highway, intersection, maintenance of traffic, and drainage designs.
  • Become familiar with relevant DOT standards for highway design and plan preparation.
  • Learn and utilize industry-related design software such as MicroStation, Inroads/OpenRoads, and CulvertMaster/FlowMaster.
  • The successful candidate will be a strong team player with a commitment to becoming a key member of this highly productive design team.

Work Environment

This is an in‑office position; duties and responsibilities are generally performed in an office setting.
