Job summary

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a seasoned Group Manager – Transportation to lead the Highway/Traffic and Bridge practices from our Wall Township headquarters. The role combines technical leadership with operational management, client development, and strategic growth across New Jersey and the Northeast.

Ideal candidate brings 15+ years in transportation engineering, PE license, and a proven track record in leading multi-disciplinary teams and expanding client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; PE license required.
• Minimum of 15 years in transportation/highway/bridge engineering or related consulting.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and staff development capabilities.
• Proven ability to build relationships with NJDOT, counties, municipalities, and transportation authorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for FPA’s Transportation Group (Highway/Traffic and Bridge).
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers and project managers.
• Oversee project delivery, scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand transportation client base.
• Lead proposals, scope/fee development, and client presentations.
• Maintain a strong project backlog and financial performance for the group.
