Job description

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a Senior Project Manager for our Highway Department in Newark, NJ. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading design efforts on a variety of transportation projects including highway reconstruction and safety, intersection improvements, pedestrian trails, and others. The candidate will also be responsible for mentoring staff and being an integral part of new project pursuits and business development efforts for the group.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the development of design documents for a variety of transportation improvements projects.
  • Collaborate with staff within the transportation group and across various other disciplines.
  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers.
  • Maintain project schedules, budgets, and staffing needs.
  • Actively participate in client contact and communications.
  • Work with Regional and Department management on preparing proposals and business development efforts.
  • Represent FPA at industry events.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  • PE license required.
  • Proven ability to execute a diverse range of transportation improvement projects for local, county, and state agencies (NJDOT project experience desirable).
  • Well versed in local and national design standards.
  • Knowledge of traffic engineering principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

Compensation

The projected compensation range for this position is $115,000 to $185,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, education and skill set.
