Job summary

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a Project Engineer – Structural (Bridge) to join our Bridge Department in Wall Township, NJ. You will design, analyze, and support transportation infrastructure projects across New Jersey, working with multidisciplinary teams and senior engineers.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of bridge design experience, a Civil Engineering degree, and a PE license. The role offers growth, mentorship, and exposure to a broad project portfolio within a respected,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; PE license preferred.
• 5–8 years of progressive experience in bridge design and structural engineering.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
• Knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and NJDOT procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for bridges and transportation-related structures.
• Prepare engineering calculations, design plans, technical reports, and specifications.
• Develop structural models and perform analysis using LEAP Bridge, LARSA, MIDAS, CSiBridge, STAAD, or similar programs.
• Assist with bridge load rating analyses and structural evaluations.
• Support project delivery by coordinating design activities and schedules.
• Collaborate with roadway, geotechnical, hydraulic, environmental, and construction teams.
