First Student, Inc. is hiring a Transportation Field Supervisor in North Charleston. The role pays $25.00 per hour and focuses on safety, driver performance, and compliance. You will monitor inspections, supervise drivers, and assist with interviews while supporting on-time performance and route operations.

This position emphasizes safety, customer service, and teamwork within a large, well-established transportation company. English proficiency and DOT compliance are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Computer literacy with Word, Excel, and Outlook is expected.
• Experience with collision and injury claims is a plus.
• Prior school bus driver experience is preferred.
• DOT drug testing and safety compliance knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors driver pre and post trip inspections and equipment issues and takes corrective action.
• Performs driver road checks and observes drivers for work readiness.
• Performs IPP Safety contacts with drivers; corrects safety violations on the scene.
• Dispatches and drives routes as needed.
• Assists management with driver interviews.
• Monitors on time performance.
