Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an engineering intern to gain real-world experience in Transportation Engineering, focusing on Highway and/or Water Resources. You will work with professionals in a fast-paced setting and apply classroom knowledge to public infrastructure projects.

The role covers task exposure from feasibility through final plan preparations, with hands-on CAD tools and data analysis. Hybrid work policy supports on-site and remote collaboration, promoting professional growth and practical

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
Knowledge of MicroStation (primary software) or AutoCAD preferred.
Working knowledge of Word and Excel is required.

Responsibilities

Perform calculations and evaluations in the design of solutions and systems for public infrastructure applications.
Develop plans, specifications, cost estimates and schedules for use during construction.
Use of computer-aided engineering software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. Collects and prepares data for evaluation.
Plan Development.
Assisting in the coordination of projects from conception (feasibility) through final plan preparations.
Providing support to engineering staff members as needed.
