Job summary

Jacobs is seeking Transportation/Civil Engineering Interns to work on large-scale infrastructure projects, including highway design and other transportation assignments. You’ll collaborate with Professional Engineers and Project Managers to deliver bold solutions that improve everyday living.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with CAD, study design standards, and contribute to reports and drawings. The role offers a hybrid working model in Chicago, exposing you to real projects while you learn

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a degree seeking program in Civil or Transportation Engineering or a closely related field.
• Knowledge of and experience using CADD/Design software (preferably AutoCAD Civil 3D).

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic highway/roadway geometric design calculations.
• Help prepare technical reports and design documentation.
• Utilize CAD to prepare drawings and models per established standards.
• Familiarize with local, state, and federal design standards and requirements.
