Job summary

Baxter & Woodman Inc. is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern for our Bannockburn, O’Hare, Crystal Lake, Naperville, or Mokena, IL offices.

This on-the-job role supports the transportation department with planning and design of diverse facilities and provides experience within a transportation design team. Daily tasks include CAD, data collection, traffic analysis, survey work, and construction inspection.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Transportation Engineering.
• Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel within Baxter & Woodman’s service area.

About the role, Your Impact

Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a Transportation Intern in our Bannockburn, Chicago O'Hare, Crystal Lake, Naperville, or Mokena, IL offices. This on-the-job experience will support the firm’s transportation department with the planning and design of a variety of transportation facilities and offer the opportunity to work within a transportation design team.

Education Requirement

• Ongoing pursuit of a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Transportation Engineering.

Compensation

-The hourly pay for this role is $23.00. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications."
