Job summary

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Transportation Engineering.
• Availability to start May 2027 and travel within Baxter & Woodman’s service area.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for a transportation design team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in CAD design and plan production for transportation facilities.
• Perform quantity computations and traffic analysis as part of project work.
• Collect data, conduct surveys, and support construction inspection activities.

About the role, Your Impact

Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a Transportation Intern in our Bannockburn, Chicago O’Hare, Crystal Lake, Naperville, or Mokena, IL offices. This on-the-job experience will support the firm’s transportation department with the planning and design of a variety of transportation facilities and offer the opportunity to work within a transportation design team.

Compensation -The hourly pay for this role is $23.00. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.”
