Job summary

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Littlefield Area Office is seeking a Transportation Engineer I–IV to oversee the planning, design, construction and traffic operations of multiple projects. You will work with area engineers, contractors and the public to ensure safe and efficient transportation solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and a Professional Engineer license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related science as required.
• PE license required; other-state PE can qualify with TX requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee traffic control plans and monitor traffic devices.
• Coordinate pre-construction meetings and public hearings.
• Review Plans, Specifications & Estimates (PS&E) submissions.
• Ensure compliance with plans, specs and contract requirements.
• Lead and train staff; present to stakeholders and represent TxDOT.
• Assist Area Engineers with contract administration matters.
• Develop project resource plans and schedules for efficiency.
