Bowman is seeking an entry-level Transportation Engineer I to support projects in Exton, PA. You will assist senior staff with transportation engineering tasks, data collection, and reports, while developing skills in multiple design and planning disciplines.

You will collaborate with a diverse team, learn client-facing practices, and contribute to multimodal and safety studies. This role emphasizes growth, mentorship, and hands-on experience in a supportive firm environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.
• Academic or internship experience in transportation preferred.
• Entry level position; no prior experience required. Any professional experience is a plus.
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam (EIT) preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Valid state driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle check or reliable transportation to/from office/site preferred.
• Knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, or other engineering design software.
• Interest and familiarity with DOT permitting and industry design; standards and procedures.
• Knowledge of ADA standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Work with the project team on transportation engineering projects.
• Prepare maps and graphics for meetings; perform data analysis and field reviews.
• Prepare engineering plans and reports; assist in grant applications.
• Participate in construction-related assignments and QA/QC reviews.
• Draft memos, letters, and project documentation.
• Support multiple analyses and design aspects for road, multimodal, and safety projects.
