Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. is seeking an entry-level Transportation Engineer I to join our team in Boston, MA and adjacent offices. You will learn transportation engineering and planning while supporting senior staff on a range of projects.

The role emphasizes data collection, maps and graphics, reports, and coordination with design teams. EIT is preferred and a valid driver’s license is expected. Office-based with field components across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required.
• Entry level position; no prior experience required.
• EIT is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid state driver’s license preferred.
• Knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
• Interest and/or familiarity with multimodal transportation planning and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist with transportation engineering and planning work.
• Prepare maps and graphics for public and client meetings; perform data analysis and field data collection.
• Prepare engineering plans and reports and assist in grant applications.
• Participate in construction-related assignments and prepare project documentation.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and assist in QA/QC of technical work.
