Job summary
Bowman is seeking an entry-level Transportation Engineer I in Burlington, NJ. You will assist senior staff on transportation engineering and planning tasks, including data collection, design support, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
Ideal candidates hold a civil engineering degree, have Internship/academic transport exposure, and may have an EIT. The role is local, with a focus on multimodal transportation planning and project support within Bowman’s collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline required at time of employment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and assist with transportation engineering and planning work.
- Prepare maps and graphics for meetings, analyze data, and conduct field reviews.
- Prepare engineering plans and reports, assist in grants and funding, and participate in construction-related assignments.
- Draft communications, reports, plans, specs, schedules and cost estimates.
- Conduct field data collection and maintain organized project files.
- Follow QA/QC procedures and support various analyses in road, corridor, multimodal and safety projects.
