Job summary

Ayden Healthcare of Oregon and Toledo seeks a Transportation Driver for its skilled nursing facility. You will transport residents to appointments, outings, and other scheduled destinations, ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety at all times.

Responsibilities include assisting residents getting in/out of the vehicle, securing mobility devices, and maintaining timely schedules while coordinating with nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Valid driver''s license and clean driving record.
• Preference for STNA candidates.
• Experience driving passenger van or medical transport preferred.
• Experience with elderly/healthcare populations strongly preferred.
• Ability to lift/push/assist residents as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate facility van to transport residents to appointments, hospitals, and community outings.
• Assist residents with entering and exiting the vehicle, including wheelchair securement when applicable.
• Ensure all passengers are properly secured with seat belts or mobility restraints.
• Maintain timely pick-up and drop-off schedules.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding resident needs and schedules.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Keep vehicle clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
• Follow all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
• Provide courteous, respectful interaction with residents, families, and staff.
