Job summary

Consor seeks a Drainage Design Engineer in Texas to lead hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and prepare drainage plans for transportation projects. The role requires PE licensure and 5–10 years of TxDOT experience, with proficiency in MicroStation ORD, AutoCAD, and Civil3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5–10 years of transportation drainage experience with TxDOT projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency in MicroStation ORD, AutoCAD, and Civil3D software.
• Hybrid work arrangement between office and field environments.
• Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review drainage design plans, hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, and technical reports for transportation projects, including roadway, bridge, and culvert drainage systems.
• Apply drainage design standards and agency guidelines to ensure accuracy, compliance, and constructability.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, storm sewer and culvert sizing, drainage modeling, cost estimates, and quantity takeoffs.
• Utilize hydraulic modeling software to evaluate drainage performance, assess flood risk, and develop stormwater solutions.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and reviewing agencies to integrate drainage requirements into project design.
• Assist with quality assurance reviews and respond to drainage-related design comments during plan development and reviews.
