Job summary

State of West Virginia seeks a Division Manager 3 to lead Administration and Operations, overseeing Personnel/Payroll, Purchasing, and Equipment/Building & Grounds. The role directs budgeting, policy interpretation, and workflow for a large state division, reporting to the Division Director and ensuring effective administrative support for professional and clerical staff.

The position requires a strong background in personnel, administration, and division operations, with ability to supervise

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Six years of full-time or equivalent part-time administrative, supervisory, or technical experience in budgeting, accounting, information systems management, purchasing, environmental, personnel, or business operations.
Graduate coursework may substitute for the required experience.
Travel may be required; a valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

Supervise managerial, professional, technical and clerical employees.
Plan operations and procedures of the unit and direct the work of employees.
Develop budget needs and research procedures and improvements; interpret statutes and policies.
