Job summary

48forty Solutions is seeking a Dispatch Manager to support the Plant Manager in directing truck drivers, scheduling routes, and coordinating customer requests at the Eastford, CT facility. You will oversee daily run schedules and drive performance through effective communication with drivers and customers.

The role requires 1+ years in dispatch management, a high school diploma or GED, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Required
• 1+ years of experience as a Dispatch Manager required
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required
• Previous experience in transportation and/or logistics strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch drivers to locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs.
• Relay work orders, messages, and information to or from drivers and supervisors.
• Confer with customers or supervising personnel to address questions, problems and service requests.
• Receive or prepare work orders and prepare daily work and run schedules.
• Monitor driver and/or equipment locations to coordinate service and schedules.
• Record and maintain driver files and dispatch information and customer requests.
• Oversee shipping/receiving functions including inventory and maintenance of inventory.
