Job summary

48forty Solutions, LLC is seeking a Dispatch Manager to support the Plant Manager in scheduling and dispatching truck drivers to meet customer requests and deadlines. You will coordinate with drivers, customers, and supervisors, and maintain daily run schedules to ensure timely service.

The role requires 1+ years of dispatch experience and familiarity with MS Office. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for career growth in a dynamic logistics environment at our CT plant

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience as a Dispatch Manager.
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Previous experience in transportation and/or logistics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Arrange for necessary repairs in order to restore service and schedules.
• Relay work orders, messages, and information to or from drivers, supervisors.
• Confer with customers or supervising personnel in order to address questions, problems, and requests for service.
• Receive or prepare work orders and prepare daily work and run schedules.
• Monitor personnel and/or equipment locations and utilization in order to coordinate service and schedules.
• Record and maintain driver files and records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, and other dispatch information.
• Oversee all aspects shipping/receiving functions including inventory and the maintenance of inventory.
