EMR Holdings is seeking an experienced Transportation Dispatch Manager to oversee high-volume, short-haul transportation operations in Camden, NJ. You will develop and manage daily dispatch schedules for 25–30 company drivers and 20 third-party drivers, coordinating roughly 200 loads per day and adjusting plans in real time to meet priorities.

The role requires a strong trucking background, excellent communication, and the ability to work with both union and non-union drivers.

Formación

• Five to seven years of experience in transportation dispatch, trucking operations, or a related field.
• Experience coordinating company drivers and third-party carriers.
• Experience with short-haul trucking and fleets including vans and tow trucks is a plus.
• Proven ability to manage high-volume dispatch operations and adjust schedules in real time.
• Experience working with both union and non-union drivers is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, coordinate, and manage daily dispatch schedules for 25–30 company drivers and 20 third-party drivers.
• Coordinate approximately 200 daily loads, ensuring efficient movement between yards and locations.
• Monitor driver availability, truck capacity, load assignments, pickups, and deliveries.
• Adjust dispatch schedules in real time to meet changing priorities and equipment needs.
• Coordinate short-haul activities with trucks, vans, and tow trucks.
• Communicate assignments and changes clearly to drivers and carriers.
• Maintain relationships with union and non-union drivers and transportation partners.
• Address driver concerns and scheduling conflicts promptly and professionally.
• Monitor load activity, truck utilization, and delivery performance.
• Ensure accurate dispatch records and transportation documentation.
• Support DOT/FMCSA compliance and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with maintenance regarding equipment availability.
• Monitor carrier availability and freight costs to optimize operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve scheduling and reduce delays.
