Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers is seeking a Driver/Dispatch Supervisor in Wisconsin to lead a team of drivers, coordinate with warehouse and safety teams, and ensure efficient execution of daily transportation plans. The role emphasizes coaching, cost control, and adherence to safety policies within a dynamic distribution environment.

Ideal candidates bring 2–5 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or GED, and knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations, with strong interpersonal and multi-tasking

Qualifications

Supervises drivers to achieve optimal performance and morale.
Knowledge of basic DOT regulations and OSHA requirements is expected.
Strong interpersonal and coaching skills to manage a transportation team.

Responsibilities

Champion a team of drivers to optimal performance and coach for improvement.
Manage controllable costs including hourly and supplemental labor, fuel economy, and equipment R&M.
Monitor yard operations to align with warehouse needs and ensure trailer utilization.
Ensure drivers perform pre/post trips and complete work assignments safely and timely.
Assist in payroll responsibilities as directed by Transportation Manager.
Support Safety Specialist with driver qualification files and drug/alcohol testing protocol.
